Impact on society
For M+W Zander, corporate social responsibility extends beyond the doors of our company into the local community. It involves a wide range of stakeholders in addition to employees and shareholders: business partners and suppliers customers, and public authorities.
We are firmly committed to improving community well being through discretionary business practices and contributions of corporate resources.
It is the integration of our company and our projects into the local setting which matters to us - whether it be within the UK and Europe or our local community.
The company belief is to remain transparent in our actions, our aims and achievements and in our evaluation methods of our procedures in our company audits. This way, we believe all members of our company can be involved in the evaluation processes of business practices and activities.
We are committed to growing a company that is environmentally and socially accountable.
In cultural and social aspects we support numerous large and small projects, e.g. through club sponsorships at our various locations, or globally as in our aid for the victims of the 2004 Tsunami.
Environmental Impact
Our company operates as a family, therefore we try to engender a corporate code of conduct that is eco-efficient. We undertake environmental impact assessments on all our major projects, and operate within strict guidelines. Relationships with Suppliers, Partners and Contractors
We use strict criteria when selecting major suppliers, business partners or contractors. Once these parties have passed our assessments satisfactorily, and a positive working relationship has been established, M+W Zander will aim to build long-term relationships (with suppliers, partners and contractors); particularly those within the local company environment. By developing positive working relationships, expectations, terms and prices can be negotiated and quality and reliability in the delivery of goods and services for all stakeholders are assured.
The social and economic welfare of M+W Zander’s business partners is important to our company. By assessing the environmental practices, policies and working procedures and conduct of our working colleagues this enables a consistent set of practices to be worked to and ensures all workers are operating safely, safeguarding against accidents and that they are regulated under a global set of practices.
Our business objectives underpin our corporate policies concerning the environment and the company’s desire to develop the local surrounding environment.

Relationships with Employees
The welfare of our employees is of primary concern to our company. We believe that our employees are the key to corporate success and we are therefore committed to their well being and happiness in the work place.
We promote employee involvement and participation by regular one to one sessions with a manager or director to discuss any problems or issues, we encourage regular company social occasions and outings where all members of staff are invited.
Our staff when in the UK and when working overseas are all supported, guided and regulated according to company policies and the regulations and rules of the country they are operating in.
Staff performances are regularly reviewed in the one-to-one sessions and are appraised on an annual basis

Relationships with Customers
Repeat business is fundamental to our success and growth, and we strive to achieve this through customer satisfaction and the diligence of staff and business partners in providing quality service. Just as we aim to provide total facilities solutions, we endeavor to provide all our clients with total satisfaction.
We have conducted Quality Assessment Reviews with some of our major clients and on all our projects we consult our customers throughout the job to assess and monitor customer satisfaction and to ensure the project is tailored to customer requirements.
We have been judged, appraised and recognised with awards that we are engaging in practices that at minimum satisfy and go beyond regulatory compliance requirements.
Our customers have demonstrated their confidence in our ability to deliver their projects and facility requirements not simply with awards, but by their growing loyalty to the company.
