Environmental, Health and Safety
Company Environmental Objectives
- To ensure that the company remains environmentally aware and responsible at all times, endeavouring to ensure that no environmental harm or pollution occurs.
- To comply with the requirements of all current environmental legislation, including The Control of Pollution Act 1974, The Environmental Protection Act 1990, The Clean Air Act 1993.
- To substitute harmful or polluting products with those that are more environmentally friendly, or less damaging, wherever reasonably practicable.
- To ensure measures are implemented to control the storage, transportation, usage and waste disposal of any potentially harmful products that must be used, thereby minimising the risk of environmental damage or pollution occurring.
- To implement stringent environmental control measures at all workplaces to minimise the potentially harmful effects that may harm the local and global environment.
- To minimise waste production and to recycle all waste material arising wherever reasonably practicable.

- To ensure suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to health and safety in compliance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.

M+W Zander were recently awarded from a global customer their 'Construction Services Supplier Safety Leadership and Excellence Award' in recognition of our committment to an injury free culture in 2004.
