To contribute to co-operative working across disciplines in accordance with the company’s procedures, and contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams.

To ensure the effective use of company resources and sub-contract packages in accordance with individual project cost plans.

Produce and develop designs for mechanical services, ensuring that designs meet user requirements, cost limits and timescales.

Preparation of estimates for implementation of mechanical services, carrying out of site surveys to identify client's needs and requirements.

Production of tender enquiry documents in respect of contracts for the provision of mechanical services. Monitoring and commenting on sub-contractors work.

The postholder should have at least a HNC in Mechanical Engineering together with at least 3 years post-qualification experience

Broad experience in the design, installation and management of building services with a working knowledge of current legislation and practices in all elements associated with Mechanical building services

Conversant with one or more of the following:-

1. Computerised Building Management Systems
2. Ventilation Systems
3. Air Conditioning Systems
4. Domestic Hot and Cold Water Systems
5. Health & Safety legislation
6. Design Calculations Software

The postholder should have at least a HNC in Electrical Engineering together with at least 3 years post-qualification experience

To be fully conversant in the following:-

1. Power and Distribution Systems
2. Lighting Design
3. Fire Alarm Design
4. Security and CCTV Systems
5. Health & Safety Legislation
6. Design Calculations Software

To provide architectural project support under the direction of the Project Architect.

To produce drawings and other construction documentation.

Sketch/conceptual design of projects including production of presentation material.

Contribute to the development of architectural standards and solutions which support the specialist areas of the Company’s business.

The postholder should have RIBA Part 2 with view to achieving part 3.

A working knowledge of industry CAD platforms with particular emphasis on AutoCAD Architecture/ADT and IT systems.

Experience of computer presentation techniques such as Sketch Up/3D AutoCAD/photoshop etc would be advantage.

Responsible for strategic planning in the Company and ensuring adequate provision of planning support is provided across all projects.

Responsible for initial tender planning during tender and pre-construction phases.

Preparation of tender programmes and constructability statements.

Where working on specifically on a project, responsible for initiating and maintaining detailed construction programme together with design and package procurement.

Collect data and update programmes.

Providing monthly reports to Project Manager.

The postholder must have previous experience in the Construction Industry in a senior planning role.

A working knowledge of Primavera, Powerproject, MS Project, Excel and Word.
